By using ShareBit, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

Authentication credentials (securely hashed)

Portfolio Data

To provide our services, we collect information about your investments:

Important: Your portfolio data is stored locally on your device and is also synced to and stored on our cloud servers (Supabase) under your account, so it remains available across your devices.

Device Information

We may collect information about your device:

Device type and operating system version
Unique device identifiers

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ShareBit:

Supabase

We use Supabase for user authentication and database services. When you create an account or use cloud sync, your data is processed by Supabase in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob

Free tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information to display personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for more details.

Finnhub & CoinGecko

We use Finnhub and CoinGecko to provide real-time market data, stock and cryptocurrency quotes, and financial news. No personal information is shared with these providers.

Google Firebase Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This may include device identifiers, advertising identifiers, and app-interaction events, processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Sentry

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic error data so we can detect and fix problems. This may include device information and app state at the time of an error, processed in accordance with Sentry's Privacy Policy.

Anthropic (Claude AI)

Our AI-powered analysis features send limited asset information (such as the asset symbol and its current market price) to Anthropic's Claude API to generate educational insights. We do not send your account credentials to Anthropic. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.

Apple App Store & Google Play

When you download our App or make purchases, Apple or Google may collect information as described in their respective privacy policies.

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: Your portfolio data is stored on your device so the App works quickly and offline.

Cloud Storage: When you are signed in, your data is also synced to and stored on our servers (Supabase) so it stays available across your devices. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest on our servers, and access is restricted to your account through row-level security.

Security Measures: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest for cloud-stored data
Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Access controls and authentication requirements for our systems

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:

Your account and authentication data will be permanently deleted
Any cloud-synced portfolio data will be permanently deleted from our servers
Local data on your device will remain until you uninstall the App
Deletion is typically completed within 30 days

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will promptly delete that information from our servers.
