By using ShareBit, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Display name (optional)
  • Authentication credentials (securely hashed)

Portfolio Data

To provide our services, we collect information about your investments:

  • Stock and cryptocurrency holdings
  • Transaction history (purchases, sales)
  • Portfolio notes and tags you create

Important: Your portfolio data is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud synchronization is an opt-in feature available to Premium subscribers.

Usage Analytics

We collect anonymous usage data to improve our App:

  • App usage patterns and feature interactions
  • Performance metrics and crash reports
  • Session duration and frequency

Device Information

We may collect information about your device:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • Unique device identifiers

  • Sync your data across devices (Premium feature, opt-in only)

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ShareBit:

Supabase

We use Supabase for user authentication and database services. When you create an account or use cloud sync, your data is processed by Supabase in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob

Free tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information to display personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for more details.

Finnhub

We use Finnhub to provide real-time market data, stock quotes, and financial news. No personal information is shared with Finnhub.

Apple App Store & Google Play

When you download our App or make purchases, Apple or Google may collect information as described in their respective privacy policies.

Data Storage & Security

Local Storage (Default): By default, your portfolio data is stored only on your device. This means your investment information never leaves your phone unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

Cloud Sync (Premium, Opt-in): Premium users can choose to enable cloud synchronization. When enabled, your data is encrypted end-to-end using industry-standard AES-256 encryption before being transmitted and stored on our secure servers.

Security Measures: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • End-to-end encryption for cloud-synced data
  • Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Access controls and authentication requirements for our systems

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your account and authentication data will be permanently deleted
  • Any cloud-synced portfolio data will be permanently deleted from our servers
  • Local data on your device will remain until you uninstall the App
  • Deletion is typically completed within 30 days

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing of your personal information
  • Objection: Object to processing of your personal information
